about

"By and large what we've got here are densely layered motorik passages with minimal drum grooves and shuddering, stabbing, gliding synth tones. It's cosmic but focused too, with a real minimal touch despite the heavily layered sounds as they build up loops of texture and melody for a cerebral and involving head-nodding experience. There's not a misstep to be heard as they navigate their way successfully through the minefield of modern techno with supreme confidence and a real natural feel for texture and melody. If you got the LP then this is more spacey retro-futurist kraut techno for your far-out nighttime excursions; and if you missed out last time, don't let it happen again!" - Norman Records 2012.

Special-edition Norman Records bundle included bonus cassette tape.

Material recorded between July-September 2011.

Brain-melting spaciness from Texas, Kösmonaut is Patrick R. Pärk, who delivers propulsive retro-ish psych-prog electronics. Imagine a missing link between the sci-fi rockin explorations of Heldon and the cosmic sounding grooves of Tangerine Dream and Conrad Schnitzler. ... more
